How to interpret the calculation checks

Model Inputs and assumptions Checks that matter
Monthly installment Principal, fixed nominal annual interest, whole number of monthly payments; fees excluded unless stated Zero-interest case, payment formula, principal/interest split, total repayment and final rounding adjustment
Net proceeds Desired cash, a fee withheld from the larger note principal, interest and term Cash equals principal less the withheld fee; no second addition of the same fee to payments
One-payment example Cash received, a quoted/assumed service fee, any separate charge and actual number of days Total due, fee timing, no double count and clear separation of a simple annualized illustration from legal APR

APR and nominal interest are not interchangeable when other finance charges affect cost. Each example should be read together with its stated assumptions and inputs. F04 F02

Use Personal Loans for net proceeds, Installment Loans for a schedule and the Payday guide for the separate Kentucky framework. Calculation assumptions accompany the examples; source review for this content package was performed September 19, 2026.
